Los Angeles Fire Station 82 is also home to the LAFD West Bureau, which oversees three battalions.
RRM Design Group was commissioned to design the 42,000-square-foot fire station located in Hollywood and Van Ness in the Hollywood neighborhood. The site is just over half an acre and includes two sites and underground parking.
The fire station is three stories with underground parking-the first one for the City of Los Angeles.
The first floor includes three heavy apparatus bays, three paramedic bays, and apparatus support spaces.
The administrative offices are located on the second floor with a conference room.
The living quarters are split between the second and third floors and include the kitchen, dining room, dayroom, dormitories, restrooms and locker rooms. Physical fitness training can take place in an exercise room or handball court.
